Kitten update

Hairy and Sox were adopted together on Sunday! I'm so glad that they will stay together. My heart is a little broken with them leaving but such is the nature of foster kittens. I know that they will live happy and healthy lives.

progress

October 15-28

10/16: 1 hour community yoga class
10/22: 1 hour community yoga class
10/27: 1 hour yoga class, 3 miles walking, moderate pace
10/28: 3 miles walking, moderate pace

I went to a yoga studio this weekend and took a class because I have moved beyond the classes I am taking at the community centers. They help me to relax but I am more advanced than what they can offer. However, they end in November and since I already paid for them I want to finish them.

So I bought a 10 class pass from the yoga studio and then I will be finishing out the community classes on Monday and Tuesday evenings.

Walking is ongoing, although I am not getting out as much as I would like to.

Update

Training for the week:

9/30 25 min yoga
10/2 1 hour community yoga class
10/3 30 min yoga
10/4 2 mile walk, 16:30 mi/min pace
10/7 .5 mile warmup, 3.1 mile walk, 15:52 mi/min pace

salads: at least 5. No cheese on salads, minimal dressing. Junk meals this week: 3. Sonic, Fazoli's, Taco Bell. I need to work on that. But it is much better from the 5-8 a week I was doing. I'm getting better!

I didn't do the 5k race this morning because I snoozed one too many times this morning. It was probably a good thing thought, because my foot is a little tender and probably benefitted from the workout on the soft path instead of the harder asphalt. I still did the same distance and pushed myself a little harder to simulate a race!

I didn't weigh last week but I did notice that my favorite dress pants that were getting tight in the waist and thighs were considerably more comfortable. I'll probably weigh tomorrow morning.

Other than that, energy is up, I am feeling less tension in my neck and shoulders and enjoying the cooler weather!
